It's rare I give 5 stars to something made of cheap plastic but this one gets it. I did a roast in the slow cooker with the intent on making beef and noodles with pulled roast. It was tender so I threw a couple chunks in, gave it a spin and I had pulled roast. Less than 2 minutes to do a 4-5lb roast. The one drawback, it's hard to clean. Food dooes not stick to it but it's hard to get between the spikes to get the liquid residue cleaned off.
One star off because it does tend to slide around somewhat. Would be nice if the grippers on the bottom were a little more effective or it had the little suction cups that keep it anchored. But after experimenting, it slides less if you don't overload it. Two of the big chicken breasts will fit but it slides a lot. If you just do one at a time, much less so.
My only regret about this purchase is that I didn't do it sooner! I love making dips and soups that include shredded chicken - but the one job I don't love is actually shredding the chicken - UNTIL NOW! The Shredder Tool was super simple to clean, put together and it works like magic! Saves so much time and does a perfect job (much better than I always did with two forks). I'm going to a "favorite things" holiday party in a few weeks and decided THIS is what I am bringing for my friends! It really is that terrific!
I was a little skeptical when purchasing this shredder tool. Looked too good to be true - I hate to shred chicken! But I made soup today and tried it out. WOW! I was so impressed! It was SO easy to use and did an amazing job shredding 5 cooked chicken breasts for my soup. It took me maybe 15 minutes tops do all 5 breasts. I'm buying more now for Christmas gifts...now that I know it really works!!
This is a great product. I'm so enjoying this shredder. It has made shredding chicken so much easier! I love this! I never knew that there was actually a chicken shredder until I saw a chef on a show use one of these. I had to have one. I did search on Mallshark and found it and ordered it. I have already used it to make Chicken Enchilada Soup and Crock Pot Shredded Chicken. I totally recommend purchasing this.
Arrived in a timely manner and exactly as described. This shreds chicken great, but only 1 breast at a time. If you have severe arthritis or dexterity issues, it may not be easy to use. My husband had no issues using both handles to twist and turn it, as it shredded. Saved me a lot of time from cutting chicken into tiny pieces, to make chicken salad or chicken for casseroles and such. Very much worth the purchase. I keep the 2 halves, the turning handled, the cleaning brush and the tiny removal fork in a ziplock bag for storage.
I like the fact that it shredded the chicken very nicely. I thought for the price, it worked very well. However, I would recommend that you tear your pieces of chicken into smaller pieces before you put it in the shredder. The one thing I dislike is the fact that it does try to slide around as you're trying to shred the chicken even though it has pieces on the bottom that is supposed to stop it.
I was a bit skeptical about this, it looked too good to be true but, to my surprise this thing is a hand saver, shredding with forks is terrible. The size is perfect, it works best with one chicken breast at a time, it is about the size of a dinner plate so it fits nicely in the dishwasher. I was worried about it being plastic but, so far it is holding up nicely. It has gone through the dishwasher 3 times, and no warping, fogging of the clear piece or color fading. It is the perfect weight however, the anti slip grip is not as good as I hoped. Overall great product for the money. I plan to buy more and spreading the word to family and friends.
We have an elderly dog who won't eat much of anything except grilled chicken so I cook for him a few times a week. This thing saves me a ton of time shredding the chicken for him. Preston says thanks!
It works great! I shredded 4 small pork loins in a matter of minutes. It didn’t stick to the counter real well, but the movement didn’t impact the shredding. I did learn that you don’t push the top piece completely down right away. You let it catch the meat, and then start twisting. As you twist the bottom starts shredding and you are able to press down and twist more. The clean up was easy. If you shred a lot of meat, it would come in handy.
Didn’t expect much….thought it’s another one of those things that promises more than it delivers. Was I ever mistaken ! Shredded enough chicken to make a pie in less than a minute. Shredded perfectly, too. It was easy to use and clean. Think I have a new kitchen gadget
This shedder saves me so much time and it really works well. No more using my dinner fork to shed chicken. I’m very surprised that such an inexpensive tool works so well. Simple wash up too.
This literally shreds the chicken into strings, perfect for chix salad. It is so fast and simple. You just put the chix breast meat in it, and turn it left and right (has handles) 3 or 4 times and DONE! I think it would work great shredding a pork roast, and tons of other stuff.
I wish I could calculate how much time I’m saving! The size is fantastic, makes it so easy to put a chicken breast in there and shred her up. It’s very durable and absolutely worth the purchase! Love that it comes with a little brush to brush off little pieces of food before throwing it in the dishwasher
Easiest way to shred chicken
I have been wanting a chicken shredder for a while but never got around to getting one until I saw this one on Amazon. Super sturdy and the heavy duty teeth shred my chicken like a boss! So glad I bought this. Plus it came in Orange which is my favorite color. I wash this by hand because others in my house can’t properly load a dishwasher to save their lives. Super easy to clean with a brush though so I’m good with it.
I had no idea product like this existed, but I surely will be telling everyone who doesn’t know that this is a must have for any kitchen or any housewarming gifts. It is sturdy, easy to store, cleaned perfectly in the dishwasher and a great value. 100% recommend!
I had seen this used on social media. It looked easy and beings we eat quite a bit of shredded chicken I thought I’d buy one. Used it the first time 2 days ago and it is really easy. It doesn’t shred a lot of chicken at one time, I did it 4 times for an entire chicken, but it was fast!
